What "near me" means for a Maine roof
Two houses ten miles apart can age very differently here. Coastal homes in Greater Portland take salt air and reflected winter sun off snow, which dries south- and west-facing slopes first. Inland and shaded lots hold snow and moisture longer, so moss and granule wash show up before the shingles themselves go brittle.

Is the roof assessment actually free?
Yes. VitalRoofs does not charge for the assessment, and there is no obligation afterward. If your roof is not a rejuvenation candidate, you keep the findings and owe nothing.
How close to me do you travel?
VitalRoofs works out of Portland, Maine and generally books assessments within roughly 40–50 miles of the city — Greater Portland, Southern and parts of Central Maine, and Southern New Hampshire.
How soon will someone get back to me after I book?
We respond within 1–2 business days to confirm a time. Roofs with reported active leaks move to the front of the queue.
Do I need to be home for the assessment?
It helps, because we walk you through what we found on your shingles before we leave. If you cannot be there, we can review the findings with you by phone afterward.
What if you find the roof needs replacement instead?
We say so plainly. VitalRoofs only performs asphalt shingle rejuvenation, so there is nothing for us to upsell when the honest answer is repair or replacement.
